The
Culprit(s)
|
In an attempt to make her life easier, Louellene Beecham
of Homestead, Florida purchased a bottle of new and
improved Scrub-Free Lysol Bathroom cleaner in Fresh
Citrus Scent. She was dissappointed to find out that
the use of the her new product did in fact require some
scrubbing, contrary to the claim of Scrub-Freeness on
the packaging.
“I just don't understand how I am going to get rid of
the mold and mildew that has accumulated due to everyday
showering. I really wasn't in the mood to scrub today.”
Her husband Shawn, also of Homestead, was distraught
when he discovered his wife had reapeatedly sprayed
down the showerstall in the hall bathroom several times
before proclaiming that the shower, along with fixtures,
we're indeed going to require some scrubbing, even after
perfectly following the directions printed on the Lysol
bottle.
“She just kept goin' in there, like 10 times or something,”
said Shawn, “and everytime, I heard her say, ‘I'm going
to need to scrub this, I can just feel it.'”
Beecham had previously used Clorox Bathroom Cleaner,
in conjunction with AJAX, but found herself constantly
complaining to Shawn about how much scrubbing was required
with the use of those products. “And when I saw the
Lysol Scrub Free bottle at Safeway yesterday, I thought
‘it's too good to be true.' Turns out I was right. When
it comes this kind of stuff, I hate being right.”
Beecham has since given up on the Lysol product, and
plans a return trip to the cleaning supplies aisle at
Safeway.
